Women's Studies
Fall '09 ~ Isaiah, an inductive study (part 2)
Ladies, the women’s studies, led by Judy Gates, will start back up the week of September 7. We will be continuing in our inductive study of the book of Isaiah, beginning with chapter 40. All are welcome to jump in with us as we turn to the second half of this remarkable book of prophecy. (Information on materials is below).
There are three options to join in one of our Isaiah studies:
- Tuesday 9:15 a.m. @ Jamie Hulker’s home, 2115 Hartland Road, , no childcare available (591-4454 - MAP)
- Thursday 6:15 a.m. @ Cracker Barrel, I-65 & Harding Place, MAP
- Thursday 9:30 a.m. @ Christ Fellowship, childcare available, MAP
Also: If you will be attending the study at Christ Fellowship, please let us know if you will be needing babysitting and the number and ages of your children.
As we have done with past inductive studies, the text of Isaiah has been formatted for notetaking and is available. However, due the great length of the Isaiah text (over 150 pages!) we’re making it available a little differently this year - both to save the expensive of printing the materials, and thus, the expense we would have to charge you! There are two ways to get the text:
(1) Go to the website where you can download the text in it’s entirety or in two parts and print at home as needed.
(2) You can purchase the PDF files of Isaiah from the church on a CD for $1. Then, you can print the pages at home as needed.
If, for some reason you can’t access the files or don’t have a way to print these at home, please contact Stephanie Shepherd. If you have questions about the study, contact Judy Gates.
Living Beyond Yourself
Exploring the Fruits of the Spirit
led by Susan Elliott
This is a perfect partner to the "Believing God" series that many of our women just completed. It is an in-depth study of the book of Galatians and the ministry of Paul taking us to a place of understanding and appreciating the "supernatural aspects of the fruit of the Spirit and that you and I cannot grow, learn, or produce that fruit on our own." Beth will challenge us to develop the fruit by maintaining an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God.
