We believe in an eternal Triune Godhead, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all perfectly united in essence and character, and purpose.
We believe in the sovereignty of God and the free will of man and that God in His sovereignty brings the two together in perfect harmony for His glory in accordance with His eternal character and His eternal plan and purposes.
We believe that God is omniscient and knows all things from an eternal present perspective.
We believe that mankind because of the sin of Adam and Eve are born in sin and are sinners separated from a relationship with God. (Romans 3:23)
We believe that the Triune God determined in eternity past that the Son, Jesus Christ would come from heaven to earth at the perfect time to be born of a virgin, to live a life without sin, to reveal God to a lost and dying world, would be rejected and crucified, giving His body and shedding his blood to pay the penalty for the sin of mankind, past, present, and future.
We believe that on the third day, Jesus the Messiah rose from the dead conquering death, that being eternal separation from God. By His substitutionary sacrifice reconciliation is possible for all mankind who place their faith alone in Him. (Luke 7:50, John 3:13-15, Acts 13:38-39, 16:30-31, Romans 10:13) This is the gift of the grace and mercy of God, actualized through faith, by which we are saved. (Eph. 2:8-9) It is faith alone in Christ alone that provides regeneration, reconciliation, justification, and sanctification. No work of man is involved, it is solely man in his free will believing in and accepting the gift of God in Jesus the Messiah being then born again and indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Salvation is conditioned solely on this belief and acceptance, and is followed by regeneration through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. (John 20:31, Gal. 3:14), Eph. 1:13-14)
We believe that God makes a sincere offer available to every person through Jesus death on the cross for the sins of the world, the realm where all humanity lives; that God loves every person with a redeeming love; and that every person is savable provided they place their faith in Him. (John 1:9, 29, 3:16, Romans 1:16, 5:8, 1 Tim. 2: 3-6, 4:10, Titus 2:11, 2 Peter 2:1, 3:9, 1 John 2:2)
We believe that genuine faith is more than an intellectual acknowledgment, but is an understanding in the heart of man of who God is and who man is; a recognition of personal sin that separates us from God. (Rom. 3:23)
We believe that all who truly put their faith in Jesus the Messiah are eternally secure as part of the family of God, His body the Church. (John 10: 27-30, Romans 8:28-30, Eph. 4:30)
We believe the born again believer in Christ is a new creation motivated to a life of following Him, growing in our walk with Him (progressive sanctification). We believe that the Christian life walk should be one of discipleship resulting in the fruit of the Spirit where we then are used by God to be a part of His calling mankind to Him (evangelism), exhibiting a life of agape love for all, a life not without sin, but one where sin is not the practice of life. We believe that a life characterized by obedience to the Lord results in the abundant life Jesus promises His followers. (John 10:10)
We believe that a born again believer can resist the work of the Holy Spirit in their life walk, and fall away, which will result in God’s discipline, even unto physical death. (1 Cor. 3:11-15) All born again believers must stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ, the Bema, where the believer’s life walk will be judged, and the quality of their works will be judged. Some will receive rewards for faithful service, while others will suffer loss, though they themselves will be saved, (1 Cor. 3: 11-15)
We believe that all of the above is true and contained in the eternal inerrant Word of God.
