Churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ.
The name is based on 2 Timothy 2:15 – “approved workmen are not ashamed”.
Founded over 60 years ago, Awana is a weekly club that offers a proven approach for evangelizing and disciplining kids in the church and community. Our prayer is that every child and youth will come to know Jesus, love Jesus, and serve Jesus.
Awana is an international program (over two million kids participate weekly in the U.S. and 100+ other countries) designed to appeal to children age 2 through high school; reaching out to both churched and non-churched kids, motivated to train and prepare young people for life by helping them to hide God’s Word in their hearts and apply it to their lives.
Weekly Clubs meet at Christ Fellowship each Wednesday during the school year from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. A typical club meeting consists of three segments that include Scripture memorization, working on lesson books, and games. Clubbers are generally assigned based on age/grade as of Sept. 1st:
- Puggles (ages 18 months to age 2)
- Cubbies (age 3 to preschool)
- Sparks (kindergarten to grade 2)
- Truth & Training (grade 3-6)
- Trek (grade 7-9)
- Journey (grade 10-12)
